How it works
Presence, not passwords.
The Halo listens for your Keyfob over Bluetooth. Being home is the thing that disarms your house, and being gone is the thing that arms it.

- 2You go outWhen your Keyfob hasn't been heard for the time you set, the house arms itself. Nothing to remember on the way out.
- 3Someone else opens a doorAn entry door opening while armed starts a countdown you choose, not a siren. Your Keyfob, or a face jupyter knows, cancels it.

You decide how hands-free
your home should be.
Hands-free arriving and leaving are on from the first day. Automatic security you cannot govern is somebody else's idea of safe, so every part of it is a setting in the app, and any of it can be switched off.
- Disarm on arrivalOn from the first day. An active Keyfob disarms the Halo as you approach, with no tap at all. If you would rather confirm each time, switch it off and arriving offers you a Disarm card instead.Arrival delay: 0 seconds to 10 minutes.
- Arm on departureOn from the first day. The house arms once no Keyfob has been heard for your chosen grace period, so a walk to the bin doesn't arm the place behind you.Departure delay: 10 seconds to 10 minutes. Default 5 minutes.
- Entry door countdownWhen an armed entry door opens, jupyter waits before it sounds anything, so a returning family member has time to be recognised. A Keyfob, a known face or the app cancels it.Entry delay: 30 seconds to 3 minutes. Default 30 seconds.
- Your phone, as wellPresence can follow your phone's location too, on a ring you choose around home. Keep both and the Keyfob covers the days your phone is flat.Geofence ring: 50, 150 or 300 metres.
Bluetooth range depends on your home and what its walls are made of. jupyter is self-monitored: it alerts you and deters, and it is not a monitored alarm service.

The door tells it
what the lens can't see.
The Entry Door Sensor knows the moment a door opens, before anyone has walked far enough for a camera to find them. It also knows when it has been pulled off the frame, so taking it down is itself an event.
